At present, mankind has knocked on the door of a digital smart society. Technological innovation represented by 5G is bringing a new wave of science and
technology. General Secretary Xi Jinping emphasized, "Promote investment in new infrastructure such as 5G, the Internet of Things, artificial intelligence,
and the industrial Internet." The Outline of the 13th Five-Year Plan proposes to accelerate the breakthrough of core technologies in the new generation of
information and communication, build a modern communication backbone network, and enhance high-speed transmission, flexible scheduling and intelligent

Communication and network technologies with faster speeds, larger capacity and lower latency have not only created unprecedented information and data flows,
but also reshaped the way people communicate with each other. During the COVID-19 epidemic prevention and control period, everything from holding talks
between countries and sharing epidemic prevention and control experience to online classes, remote office work, and live streaming sales can be done on the
Internet or even on a mobile phone. According to statistics, from January to August this year, the cumulative traffic of my country's mobile Internet reached an
astonishing 103.9 billion GB. Some institutions predict that by the end of this year, my country will have more than half of the world's 5G base stations, and
the number of 5G users will account for more than 70% of the world's total during the same period. 5G is changing the way of connection and communication.
The overall progress of the communications industry has laid a solid foundation for digital development in underdeveloped areas. In rural areas, relying on 5G
construction, mobile phones have become "new agricultural tools", and through smart farming and live streaming, poverty alleviation has been accelerated.
Since 2015, my country has organized six batches of telecommunications universal service pilots, cumulatively supporting the access of more than 130,000
administrative villages to optical fiber networks and the construction of 50,000 4G base stations. As of June this year, the proportion of poor villages with fiber
optic access has increased from less than 70% in 2017 to 98%, and the proportion of poor villages with broadband access in deep poverty-stricken areas has
increased from 25% to 98%, exceeding the goal of broadband network coverage of more than 90% of poor villages required by the 13th Five-Year Plan in advance.
The improvement of information infrastructure has not only opened up the connection between small mountain villages and the outside world, but also opened
up ways for villagers to get rich, and created possibilities for poor areas to integrate into the wave of digital and information development.

transformation of new and old kinetic energy and industrial transformation and upgrading. Sensors on the production line of smart factories monitor the
production process and product quality, and feed back information to manufacturing robots, effectively reducing the defective rate; on smart docks, cameras
send back high-definition operation images in real time, so workers can complete operations remotely without having to climb up to the driver's cab more
than 50 meters high; cameras and micro radars on cars capture road traffic information around the vehicle in real time, and combine high-precision maps
to achieve automatic driving of vehicles... Under the catalytic effect of communication technology, the efficiency of production, transportation and other links
has also undergone "qualitative changes", further promoting the emergence of new business models, driving geometric multiples of investment and transactions,
and injecting strong momentum into expanding domestic demand and building a new development pattern.
